To promote an open, transparent, and safe operating culture, we have implemented a whistleblowing reporting channel. The introduction of the whistleblowing channel is based on the Finnish Whistleblower Protection Act and the European Union Whistleblower Protection Directive.

The whistleblowing channel provides a confidential way to report suspected misconduct or violations of operating principles for internal investigation. Reports can be submitted anonymously. Primarily, concerns or suspicions should be discussed with your supervisor or management. If discussing the matter does not feel like a suitable option or proves ineffective, this channel can always be used to submit a report.

The whistleblowing channel has been implemented in a way that the reporter cannot be identified if they choose to remain anonymous. All reports are handled confidentially while protecting the privacy of both the reporter and the subject of the report. Personal data is processed in accordance with the obligations set out in the Finnish Data Protection Act (1050/2018). A report may be made based on suspicion alone and without concrete evidence, provided it is made honestly and in good faith.

Reports submitted through the whistleblowing channel are handled by the persons responsible for personnel matters at the highest level, who will initiate the necessary investigations. The process is confidential. Confidentiality also applies if the reporter chooses to disclose their identity. If a report concerns one of the handlers, that person will not participate in the handling or investigation of the case. After receiving your report, we will acknowledge receipt within 7 days. If necessary, we may ask you for additional information during the investigation. This communication also takes place through the channel, confidentially and anonymously.

We will inform you of the outcome of the investigation through the channel within 3 months of submitting the report. At the end of the reporting process, you will receive a personal code that allows you to track the progress of your report. If you lose your case-specific code after submitting a report, please submit a new report referring to the original one. This enables the investigation to continue in cooperation with you.

If our internal channel is not functioning, you may submit a report concerning misconduct covered by the Whistleblower Protection Act to the centralized external reporting channel of the Office of the Chancellor of Justice. Please note that irregularities within the organization should primarily be reported through our internal reporting channel in order to receive whistleblower protection.
